They all talk about “taking back your life” and how much time you can now have for family and the “important things” in life. Running your own home business certainly has its benefits, but it also has its drawbacks. You’re no idiot, surely you realize there’s good and bad in everything in life. The big myth in running your own home-based business is that it will allow you to spend more time with your family. Now this is technically true - simply due to the fact that you will be working from home means that you’ll be around your family most of the time out of default. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that time is “quality” nor “recreational” .

You must understand your HOME is now also your place of BUSINESS. You make your own schedule, true, but this doesn’t mean you will have any more “free” time than you had if you worked a regular 9 to 5.

Working from home presents time management challenges. At home you have the opportunity for far more distractions than in a traditional work place, i.e. the kids, spouse, relatives, the bed, the dog, chores, TV, the doorbell, the bed, phone, the couch, the refrigerator, the co-ed next door, the bed, the gardening, the newspaper, the bed, the next installment of “Harry Potter”…

Did I mention the bed…GET THE IDEA?

Homes, by nature, are a MINE-FIELD of distraction. These distractions will limit the amount of actual free time you have to spend with your family on true recreation. Now distractions are unavoidable, falling prey to them is avoidable. In order to keep focused on work you must create a work schedule and stick to it. When it’s time to work you must get to work.

So what can you do? You should keep a calendar, schedule and to-do list. Utilizing Microsoft’s Outlook program is the BEST way to accomplish this. Outlook quite literally acts as your personal assistant.

Just not as pretty…or handsome…depending on which way your door swings.

Get up every morning and act as though you’re going out to work. Keep regular work hours and don’t stray from them. All these things combined, will help to minimize falling prey to distraction.

Distraction will either take away from your leisure time or your work time. Leisure time means less quality and work time means less money, you can’t afford either. If you adhere to this you’ll have plenty of time for both business and leisure in your life.

I also suggest setting up your “office” someplace in your home where you can have some privacy. Avoid setting it up in your bedroom or other common area of the home. Find a location where you will have ample room. Any place where you can lock the door, and not be disturbed by household activity, is optimal.

Running a successful business requires a serious time commitment. If you don’t spend time on business activities, how can it possibly become profitable and flourish? I’ve never met a wealthy business owner that didn’t invest regular hours into their business. Sure they play hard and take long vacations, but it’s all relative, because they put in 16-hour work days when they’re at work.

Do you think if Bill Gates only spent 20 hours a week developing Windows he’d be the richest man in the world today? Maybe tomorrow, but not today.

The bottom line is if you don’t approach your home business with realistic expectations you will certainly set your self up for failure. Don’t pay attention to the “Get Rich Easy” scams. Nothing worth doing is ever easy.

Be patient, stay focused, work smart, be flexible and again BE PATIENT!

In the past, I have touched on the connection of quantum physics and communication. One of my passions is to understand the connection that we create on a much higher level.

how it can help you in life and with your communication mastery.

First is to realize that Quantum physics, which is the study of the building blocks of the universe, tells us that everything is made up energy. Even our bodies, which are made up of cells, then atoms, which are made up of sub-atomic particles such as electrons.

Actually, everything is made up of ‘large groups’ of subatomic particles including plants trees, thoughts and light. The only difference is the way these particles are grouped together into the building blocks.

The studies now being done in the neurosciences have shown that thoughts are biochemical and electrical. They are real things. And that our mind is photons of light held in an electromagnetic field.

We as electromagnet beings of energy give off and pick up energy when we interact with other people. And there is a fundamental need in us to connect with one another.

The studies have also shown that we see the world not as it is, but as we are and when we go to connect or communicate with another person, it is based on our assumptions, beliefs, values, attitudes and intentions. The success or failure of the connection will be based on much of this.

There is also a need to have our external world to match our internal world and a person will often sabotage what is before them if it doesn’t match their inner belief systems.

At the quantum level we are all connected and we tend to attract people at the same frequencies that we are at. This can be the frequencies of our attitudes, beliefs or feelings at the moment.

Because our brain wants to seek out information that matches its belief system, it will attract other people, places, events and situations that coincide with that belief and it sends out a vibration, which is attracted to the same frequencies.

If you have heard the saying, “Birds of a Feather, Flock together”, you can understand the basis of the science. Before
modern times with media, advertising etc, people of the same mindset found each other.

This is why so many of us get trapped into remaining at a level that we don’t want the to be at. We are attracting the same types of people, events and situations into our lives.

To change this, it is important to change the way you communicate with yourself. Look at what you are telling yourself. What are the attitudes that you are repeating. If you state that it is a hard, cruel world, that is what you will
manifest in your world. Subsequently, if you state that there are wonderful and helpful people you will find them.

It is important to tell and train your self to be open to learning new ideas and thoughts. We need to change our vibration level and then communicate with others at a higher level.

Through modern equipment, science has seen the different vibrations that we are projecting.

Negative emotions are long and slow

Positive emotions shorter and faster.

Resentments, road rage etc, create low frequency vibrations.

This creates inability to create your desires.

However, quantum physics has also shown us the we have the amazing power to change our lives.

No matter if you’re publishing your first book or producing your first invention, you need a simple, effective marketing strategy. So, hiring a marketing agency to develop and implement that strategy will bring raving fans flocking to stores or your website to buy your incredible offering, right?

Well, maybe. Maybe not!

There is a very simple - yet amazingly potent - marketing tool which in and of itself can become your most basic marketing strategy. It’s called the “marketing funnel”, and it’s most important role is to first attract the interest of a minimum of 1,000 people then gradually, over time, one-by-one develop their trust in you…and, of course, in your idea or product.

Every funnel has certain things in common. Each, of course, is very wide at the top and very narrow at the tip. Not everything can come out the bottom all at once. Each also has a certain capacity from small to large. And each is a solid container. If it’s got lots of holes, then it’s a colander!
Your marketing funnel operates just like a conventional funnel you use in you kitchen or garage. The only thing that makes it different is what you put in it!

To fill your funnel, you need to take these eightbasic steps:

1. Discover your center of authenticity. Know who you are and who you and/or your creation is intended to help or attract.

2. Using the information that identifies your center of authenticity, create a personal parable (or story) telling how you came to be an innovator.

3.Create an elevator speech, also sometimes call an audio business card or 30-second commercial.

4.Create and publish an e-newsletter.

5.Develop alliance partners.

6.Speak frequently at meetings and conferences.

7.Offer teleconferences and live events.

8.Produce your innovation - publish your book, put your invention on supermarket shelves, release your new software program, build your building! Your goal will be to regularly talk to and attract as your fans (i.e. newsletter readers) a minimum of 1,000 people.

“Sounds impossible!” you protest. Just remember, that the founder of Amazon.com began his business by sending just a handful of emails to people he knew and asked them to forward his message to people they knew. Within 30 days, he had reached people in all 50 states, and the rest is history.

Not all of those first 1,000 people will immediately pop out of the tip of the funnel and become your product champion, your best book reviewer, your client or your customer. However, as you keep in touch with them, over time more and more will get to know you, will come to respect you and - even if they don’t purchase your product - may well tell others - like book agents, prototype developers, and financial angels, to name a few — about what you have to offer.

Property values fluctuate gradually. They gradually increase in value over time. Investors who buy for the long term for the slow and steady growth are truly committed to their real estate investment . The investor may opt to hold onto the property and rent it out to others to earn an income or use the property for personal use as a vacation home.

The value of the house and the condition it is in is another challenge. Will you need to sink a lot of money into it to get it ready to rent out? The rule of thumb is if it takes more than one third of the purchase price to fix it up, it is not worth purchasing. An old home in need of a lot of upgrades and repair may not be worth putting your money into. Buying property that needs some work to bring it up to par however can be a great bargain. Buying real estate investment assets can be difficult, but might turn into a great investment with hard work.

There are risks in the investment business. Whether you are investing in some type of letting property or investing in property to flip, each type of property carries its own set of risks. One of the biggest risks is paying too much for the property to see a profit. There are risks of bad tenants, poor management and underestimating the cost of repairs.

A wonderful benefit of real estate investment is that you are working for yourself. You do not have to punch the time clock or answer to the boss. You need to be disciplined in order to do this type of business. There is no one telling you when to work or what to purchase. But the satisfaction at the end of each day comes from knowing you are working to make yourself wealthy and not someone else.
