Most couldn’t believe the incredible Amelia Sinclair, our family friend, could wear lace front wigs. Her voluminous hair flowed in sync with her indomitable look. But surprise surprise. The one and only remains the center of attention for her impeccable looks. Only a handful of souls know she relies on lace front wigs. Guess it’s no secret anymore.

As mere children in Arizona, we once swept all the beauty pageants. A few years went by before her hair loss started acting up and she went bald. I hinted about some synthetic wigs. Even so balding was no big deal to her. Unfazed by medical hair loss, she somewhat obnoxiously unveiled her shaved head.

Attending her fiance’s golf competition, we heckled till her loverboy purposefully hit the orb (or whichever thing that is) at the crowd. With quick reflexes she reached out for the thing when her hand-knitted “head sweater” (her idea) landed in a beer, uncovering her naked head. Undisturbed, she lobbed it playfully to her man. That’s so her!

However, nobody is perfect. Once at our semi-monhtly “Gilmore Girls” binge, the day she sat me down and said that she prefers to make do with a shorn head as a statement. She could never become dependent on women’s medical wigs, though she would wear them. At that moment miss invincible turned flush red and begged that I drop it. So I did.

I wanted to help so bad. That night, I asked her about getting her a new wig. Eventually the two of us came to the obvious conclusion: lace front wigs for all! We have a knack for making online wig shopping fun.

Not sure who was more flabbergasted by the options. She never imagined that lace front wigs could be so professionally crafted for beautiful people and famous actors. These women’s wigs were exactly what she needed. As for me, coordinated a completely fresh ensemble to go with my synthetic wig. Its become an inside joke, you know. For my birthday she sent me her thanks for her dignified synthetic wig, and confessed it fosters a lost identity for many occasions. It’s my pleasure to watch her reclaim her beauty. We both are.
